The Watcher is the true protector of the realms, while most of the First Ones have left the charge and care of Soladis to their children and the ascended ones, the Watcher guards the realms from extraplanar incursions. Some would say that the Watcher is the dome that shields the realm from the encroaching energies of other planes and realms beyond. The King of Knights, Alderron, is considered by many clerics to be the true inheritor of the Watcher’s mantle of duty and title, ‘Protector of the Realms’ as the sun god delivers justice and chivalry to races of Soladis. The Watcher is removed from the mortal and divine affairs of Soladis, committed to his duty of protecting Soladis from ‘a greater threat’ beyond the veil of realities.
